How Will Chip Kelly Draft?

Chip Kelly’s Plans for the Draft

Draft time is only mere hours away and a big question is how will the end result of the draft look? Another big question stems from Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly.

Many may recall when earlier this offseason, Kelly made several notable moves with the team that Brian liked, such as trading away running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for linebacker Kiko Alonso. There was also the notable move of trading Nick Foles to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for Sam Bradford, and even recently signing Tim Tebow to the current roster.

As of right now, many people are wondering what Kelly’s final move will be for the draft, given his peculiar offseason this far. The Eagles have the 20th pick in the draft and one possible idea is that the team may draft Marcus Mariota with their pick, which would leave them with six total quarterbacks.

This would only be a rumor though anything is possible. If Mariota were to be selected by the Eagles, he would find himself in some familiar surroundings, given that he and Kelly were player and coach at Oregon, worked under the same offense and even has a few of his old teammates working with him as well. In any case, waiting on what Kelly plans to do is what may set the tone for other teams this year.
